Amy is a lead CDI Nurse Consultant responsible for the clinical documentation Improvement (CDI) specialist tasks and education development related to documentation improvement initiatives. Amy’s background brings a wealth of knowledge to the table. Having been a CDI professional in hospital and health system CDI departments, her CDI initiatives aim to ensure accurate and comprehensive documentation of risk and clinical decision-making. She has experience with CDI querying processes and has provided extensive training for providers on capturing risk, diagnoses, and clinical decision-making. Before Amy’s consulting and CDI roles, she was a nurse manager for medical-surgical floors, ICU, dialysis, and coronary care units. She served as clinical house supervisor for a community hospital. Her CDI consulting experience includes working with a hospital-funded AI firm on an AI/BI-powered coding and CDI platform.
